A Message from the Hodge Family
You can’t describe Gary’s Heating Service without talking about Gary Hodge. He is truly the heart and soul of the company. The way we treat customers, the dedication to our profession, our commitment to providing excellent work, and top-quality equipment are because of Gary.
As a family business, it’s not about following a corporate structure or some franchised business plan. For us, it’s simply doing the right thing, living by the standards and ethics Gary set. We grew up watching Gary leave the house at 2 am for a service call because he didn’t want a family to do without heat. Gary’s kids remember having to wait to open Christmas gifts because Gary had to fix someone’s furnace. Gary never wanted anyone to do without when he could make a difference, and he never made people wait until it was convenient for him. He taught us to put the needs of other people before our own and that’s exactly what we do. It’s the way we were raised.
Today, Gary’s son Scott owns the business. All but one of our employees are family members. Gary’s close to 80 years old now and health issues keep him out of the field, but he’s still very much the heart and soul of our company. It’s been over 50 years since Gary started Gary’s Heating Service and we’re still putting customers first.

Our technicians work on a multitude of different manufacturer’s equipment and are familiar with many makes and models of furnaces, air conditioners, water heaters, heat pumps, ductless systems, and much more. From servicing residential or commercial equipment to installing new HVAC systems in new construction, our team has the experience necessary to get the job done right the first time, every time.

In addition to extensive hands-on experience, both Gary Hodge and Scott Hodge have acquired certifications and training in a variety of skills enabling them to provide a higher level of professional service to our customers. These include:
- College Degree in HVAC
- Licensed by the state of Michigan for Heating and Cooling
- Certified in Refrigerant and Recovery
- Certified for Wardflex Installations (For Flexible Gas Lines)
Our team is bonded and insured and highly experienced in the service and sale of residential and commercial AC systems and related equipment, including new construction.
